Round 1: Fight! (Battle Report #1)

I found out yesterday that Warmachine has a funny fighting style. It can go quickly if you aren't paying attention AND if you finish your turn and start swearing in your head then well you did something stupid and you and I have a lot more in common than you think!

Now for someone who is use to playing Pathfinder and games like that, miniature war games are different enough to be confusing. I've never played Warhammer or games like it and if I had then maybe I would have had a better outcome to our practice game last night. My friend's Cryx army decimated my Khador forces and I left myself open to having my Warjack do the final blows to my Warcaster, thankfully the roll fell short and saved me that embarrassment!

So now that I saved the embaressment of having my warjack end the game, I left myself open to a melee attack that completely over killed my warcaster, now let me say this: DON'T LET A WARJACK GET INTO MELEE WITH YOUR WARCASTER! *Sigh*

My next battle report will be better, but our duel which when two people know what they are doing is only supposed to take about 20-25 minutes took about an hour.
             LEARNING! YAAAAY!

My Khador army will crush yours!

Soooooooooooo,

my friend decided that he didn't want to play Warmachine alone so he got me into it by purchasing my first
starter kit.

I will admit the description of Khador made me make high pitched squeaky noises, seriously who can resist:
Khador's powerful warjacks epitomize the national ideals of strength and resilience and are as relentless in battle as the frigid winter of their homeland.
Taken straight off of the back of the Khador Battlegroup box.

 *Insert stupid grin*

Okaaaay! So now you know my painfully horrible addiction that has started all of three days ago. Now I must admit the horrible truth... My painting skills suck, it seriously looks like an epileptic monkey spazzed out and threw red paint everywhere. But it is my first go and I'm slowly learning some new techniques. Lets show you the first photo while I hide in shame.

I also am quite aware how bright and out of focus it is... Photos should get better eventually...

What I have realized is that the Khador paint kit didn't have all the colours I saw my army being in, so I bought two full paint kits and a pot of Quick Silver. So now I can make my army of the frigid north shine bright like the snow and ice from their homelands.

I know, I have quite a ways to go before my miniatures army is completed but I am in it for the long haul, and I am looking forward to what it looks like all completed.

Hello World!

Why hello there, my name is Erynith!

What a funny name! Well to be completely honest it isn't my real name! It will be the name I'll go by on here.

You might be lost, or you might be browsing but this will be my little world. Where I will be posting my progress on my miniatures, what craft/DIY thing I have started this week and I will probably be posting things about my life.

If none of these things interest you, have a great day! If they do: well then stay tuned for the craft to hit the wall!

Yours in all Serenity, Erynith
